Earlier this month, I had a family trip to Guangzhou with my family. It was a short but sweet weekend getaway and we totally had a great time.

It has been a long while since my last trip to Guangzhou (was last here in 2018 for work). The city didn't seem to have changed much. I was in the Four Seasons Guangzhou for a work dinner, then this time I had a stay here for leisure. I remembered how amazed I was by the modern, sophisticated design of the hotel back in 2018 and this time, it still felt the same and gave that timeless, classy vibes.

We were obsessed with our room which got such panoramic view of Guangzhou. The room was spacious with a contemporary design I was quite amazed to be honest, they were the top hotel in the city back in 2018 and they are still in such good shape today!) Our bathroom was incredible and got everything you could ask for - the city skyline, a huge bathtub and the marble etcetc. Just incredible!

We also had a dinner at their acclaimed, Michelin one starred Chinese restaurant- Yu Yue Heen. The tasting menu we had was very simple yet full of thoughts and very well executed.

I have always been a fan of MO and thanks god I made it to another MO property (which has long been on my bucket list) earlier this year. I visited Beijing for work this February and stayed over for a weekend at the gorgeous Mandarin Oriental, Wangfujing. Mandarin Oriental, Wangfujing was located in central Beijing and surrounded by an unique historical atmosphere – you couldn’t only call the location prime, I mean it was indeed like no others (the Forbidden City was constructed in the 1400s, and was the former Chinese imperial palace,)

I was obsessed with the Mandarin Oriental, Wangfujing in many ways and in particular, the perfect balance of contemporary aesthetics and traditional Chinese décor. The interior spoke a lot of the hotel, the location and the city itself. I also checked out its restaurants, the Café Zi for some traditional Chinese food and the MO Bar for drinks. Check out more of my captures below!

While I am very eager to check out new places and experiencing new hotels, l also revisiting the places I have been before, you know what they say - "old place, new experience".

(Check out - A stay at St.Regis Shenzhen)

I was in St. Regis Shenzhen for a weekend trip with my college friends in 2017 and this time I was here again for a weekend trip with family.

We stayed at the beautiful spacious Caroline Astor Suite and it got such an incredible panoramic view of Shenzhen (and a little bit of Hong Kong). The St. Regis Shenzhen was the highest St. Regis hotel worldwide, and positioned atop the business and shopping podium.

We visited a few of the restaurants, Elba for an Italian dinner, Social for a family buffet dinner, Drawing Room for afternoon tea, and of course the St. Regis Bar for drinks (okay, the Bloody Mary)!

Check out my captures below!
