A Stay at Andaz Xintiandi, Shanghai

by - May 31, 2017

Another hotel I stayed in Shanghai was the Andaz Xintiandi. Introduced by Hyatt as a 5-star boutique hotel line, Andaz hotels never fail to give a fresh and unique vibe. My last visit to Andaz Tokyo was a 10/10, so this time I'm also giving Andaz Xintiandi a try!
In Shanghai, Andaz is located in Xintiandi, the city's famous hipster area. The transportation was very convenient with a lot of nice cafes and small local shops around. The hotel's design was quite cool and very 'urban'. Here are a few of my recaps:
The lobby
I'm staying at the Andaz XL King room this time and here's the room tour time!

The wooden back of my bed was totally GOAL!!

Despite of being a separate and 'younger' brand, you can still feel some of the Hyatt's spirits in its design.

A table of two, a date in the concrete jungle! This mini in-room dining area was so lovely!

I also had a lunch at their Shanghai-ese restaurant, Hai Pai and it was a cute experience!
The food was delicious and quite 'home style'!
This soup with Jinhua ham (Chinese ham) was soooooooooo good!! I had three bowls of it!

The fried rice was very nice too! And I totally felt like I was hosted by a Shanghai local family!
The Andaz Lounge next to Hai Pai was a casual, all-day space! I'd totally love to spend a cozy afternoon here with friends!
Breakfast of champions, who's in?
All in all, my stay at Andaz Xintiandi was quite a nice one- the room was huge and the overall interior was very modern with some fun urban elements! Besides, its location was perfect and the neighbourhood was interesting to explore too!
I will surely come back again and I definitely look forward to my next Andaz experience!
