'Home' to Peninsula, Mandarin Oriental and many other top luxury hotel brands- Hong Kong has always been famous of its overwhelming quantity and quality of luxury hotels. As one of the latest yet probably the brightest stars in the scene, the Rosewood Hong Kong is a refined creation on the Kowloon waterfront.
The hotel was literally an interior design heaven and the overall aesthetic was incredible. I was surprised by all the details and thoughts in their design when I explored the hotel and my room. All the cutlery and crockery in room were so fine and elegant. The 'all white-marbled' bathroom was so pretty (just like all those Instagram shots) and totally blew my mind. The view from my room was breathtaking as well- right facing the million dollar view of our Victoria Harbour.
I'm amazed by how they have incorporated different elements into the property and get them cohesively together. I have visited the Butterfly Room (afternoon tea place), Holt's cafe (Cha Chaan Teng style), Asaya Kitchen (healthy concept), Bayfare Social (plaza/market-like gastronomic hub), the Legacy House (refined Chinese restaurant) and Dark Side (modern bar). A lot of restaurantssss yes but it was incredible how they could cater to different communities' tastes. Better still, these restaurants could stand out well individually too. The pastries from the Butterfly Room were soooo delicate and just like art pieces. I also love the Legacy House for the premium Shunde cuisine and the overall experience. The Darkside Bar was another of my favourite- especially when there weren't too many exceptional bars at the Kowloon side (most of my go-to bars are either in Central or Soho).
Their gym and swimming pool weren't something to miss either. The gym managed by Asaya got a fascinating panoramic view of the Victoria Harbour while the swimming pool is an 'infinity' one. The Rosewood Hong Kong was also famous of their pet-friendly policy. How much I wish I got a cute doggie to staycation along with me!
All in all, the Rosewood Hong Kong was a charming architecture with many surprises. They got remarkable hardware as well as friendly, caring staff. Their location was really prime - with an unparalleled view and easy access to the K11 Musea (the latest and maybe coolest mall in town). I would definitely recommend the hotel and look forward to my next visits/stay!
