While I'm quite a
frequent visitor to Langham Hong Kong and Cordis
Hong Kong (their sister hotel) for food and drinks, I have never stayed with
any Langham hotels before. The Langham hotel group is one of the best luxury
hotel groups worldwide, with 'an exceptional legacy from London since
1865'. The brand to me is always about that classy, romantic vibes.
During
my recent visit to Melbourne, I finally had my first stay with the Langham
hotel. Located conveniently along the renowned Southbank Promenade, the
hotel guests could enjoy a great view of the Yarra River or the city
skyline. I'd definitely recommend a river-facing room but even if you couldn't
get one (just like me), you could check out the terrace outside their swimming
pool- the Yarra River looked absolutely gorgeous. Talking about the pool, I
LOVE the jacuzzi and the heated pool (perfect for winter!). The glass ceiling
also gave you that necessary vitamin D without getting outdoor.
I
did read some reviews online about how the hotel might look slightly dated, yet the
hotel got really bright and helpful staff (the Melbourne kind of friendliness
right) which would give you a 'home' vibes. The hardware was indeed well
functioned as well. Overall, I did enjoy my stay here and definitely hope to
visit again.
