Spent a lovely weekend at the beautiful Middle House Shanghai and it was like a dream come true. The Upper House Hong Kong has long been a legendary hotel and always ranked as the top hotel in Hong Kong and even worldwide. As The Upper House’s sister hotel, the Middle House was also such an artistic property and had long been on my bucket list. it just didn’t disappoint - I love how they were hidden behind “a forest of whispering bamboo” in the centre of Shanghai. The design was artistic, sleek and with a mix of  historic and modern charms.

I love hotels with history and a good story. I mean - I’m always a believer of how “a hotel should be a destination too”. During my recent visit to Boston, I had a two night stay at the legendary Langham Hotel Boston. This 5-star hotel is housed in the former Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Even with such rich history, the architecture is very well maintained. The room I stayed was very very classy and sophisticated.

I also paid a visit to the legendary GRANA - which was set in the grand hall of the city’s former Federal Reserve Bank. It was so glamorous and the staff was very friendly!

“Old Money” is such a trend nowadays. Last October, I was back to Taipei and stayed at the legendary “old money” hotel, the Regent Taipei. The Regent Taipei has long been hailed as one of the best hotels in Taipei and hosted so many celebrities. They got such perfect services and amazing restaurants.

I did spending quite some time exploring inside the hotel - they got a perfectly cozy lounge with view of the signature 101 building. They also got really yummy bubble milk tea and bubble milk tea flavoured dessert (wanted to give it an encore but i was sooooo full)! The Teppanyaki restaurant - Robin's Teppanyaki was a must-go too! Ingredients were very fresh and the chef was professional as well!

I also checked out the the 故宮晶華 Silks Palace At National Palace Museum after a visit to the museum. It was such a classy restaurant next to the National Palace Museum with cuisines inspired by some of the most signature collections from the museum, like the Jadeite Cabbage with Insects and Meat-shaped Stone! Simply amazing!
