I recently had my first ever New Zealand trip and it was just AMAZING.

During my 5-day trip, I mostly stayed in Auckland and did a few day tours to the towns nearby. As the most international city of New Zealand, there are quite some hotel options in Auckland and this time I stayed with the Cordis Auckland.

I have long been a fan of Cordis Hong Kong (especially for their Michelin starred Chinese restaurant Ming Court and the beautiful hotel lounge) so I have been really excited to check out their Kiwi sister property and it was totally worth it! I read online that the hotel was the city's largest hotel and you know what came the best with a big hotel -the facilities! It was totally a treat to spend a winter evening at the heated rooftop pool and Jacuzzi to unwind yourself.

The view from my room was stunning. I loved waking up early to enjoy a bit of the morning fog and then gradually a bright clear sky with the city's skyline. The hotel also got art works exhibited all around with local and natural concept.

I had my breakfast in their upscale buffet restaurant Eight and I loved the free flow kiwifruits (I mean it's New Zealand and you gotta have some local fruit!) Then I had a very lovely lunch at Our Land is Alive - it was a very cute restaurant and as the name told - everything was proudly locally sourced and tasted really good and fresh. The staff was very very friendly and totally made me feel home. I am so ready to come back for more!
