Another Mandarin Oriental yesss I'm a #fanofMO! During my recent trip to London, I spent my last night at the legendary Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London and it was an one of a kind experience!

The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London is located in the heart of Knightsbridge (with Harvey Nicolas right opposite to the hotel and Harrods being around 2 minutes away) and also on the edge of Hyde Park. The hotel staff shared a bit of fun facts about the entrances of the hotel with me - while most of the guests use the Knightsbridge entrance, the hotel also got a "Royal Entrance" at the Hyde Park side as back in the days, His Majesty, King George V refused to allow any advertising, including the large gilt lettering of the hotel's name, overlooking the Hyde Park. The original entrance was then kept for the sole use of the Royal Family. For now, permission is still needed to allow the hotel to open this entrance for VIPs and wedding couples. I did have a morning walk at the Hyde Park and indeed love the Hyde Park entrance a lot (as the Royal family does haha) - it was so elegant and calm compared to the busy vibrant Knightsbridge side! Literally one hotel, two different charms!

The Hotel being a 117-year old property was reopened in April 2019 after its renovation since September 2016 and designed by Joyce Wang (same designer for the Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong).

The hotel interior is just so pretty with classic luxurious charm. My room got a chic, contemporary design and the Hyde Park view from my balcony was enchanting with beautiful autumn leaves around (Autumn is the best season to travel no?)

also had a dinner at the Aubrey (yessss the Aubrey from Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong and it is in London now too). The interior got the same Japonisme vibes as the Aubrey Hong Kong. I had so much food and the Bone Marrow Fried Rice was just a dream come true- soooo good and satisfying!
