Located at the heart of the Marina Bay, the Conrad Singapore was an award-winning luxury hotel with great service and solid hardware.

The hotel was full of art pieces and I particularly love the huge water drop like chandelier at the lobby. While I was shooting around alone, I was greeted by a hotel staff who patiently explained the designs and details to me- how it incorporated some Chinese Feng Shui elements and echoed the surrounding art works. They were very considerate and heartwarming to keep me accompanied. And I was also thrilled to learn more about the local stories and cultures!

My room was very spacious and got an elegant design. The big windows contributed to a nice daylighting and yessss the stunning views.

Another really special event I experienced was the Earth Hour- while the hotel’s efforts in environmental protection was definitely worth appreciation, what impressed more was the overall arrangement and coordination of the hotel staff- they were very well trained and had taken good care of the guests.

Also thanks to the Earth Hour, my dinner at the Oscars was in dark too- not too dark I'd say, as there were candles even lights were off. It was quite interesting that the restaurant seemed extra romantic with dim candle lights. They got a wide variety of different cuisines- as a visitor, of course I went for some local delicacies- the mini cup below was exceptionally delicious!

Overall, the Conrad Centennial Singapore totally lived up to its 5-star reputation and I definitely look forward to visiting again.

So yes they did it again- The Singapore Airline, according to Forbes, topped the best airline ranking in 2018 again. Right, I have often heard from my friends about this airline's excellent service and stuff. And this time, for my recent visit to the lion city, I did fly with The Singapore Airline. Lucky enough, I got upgraded to the Business Class. It was like winning the lottery, wasn’t it?  I mean- a Business Class experience from the best airline in the world!

My flight was right after a full week of work on Friday (Life of a salaryman you know) and it was with their Airbus A380-800 model.

Before taking off, I had a visit to the SilverKris Lounge Hong Kong.
This Singapore Airline Business Lounge in Hong Kong was very spacious- they got different seating area and some private working tables, together with food stations and a bar. It was not too extravagant in overall but definitely comfortable for either some rest or last minute work before flight. I had some supper from their food stations and I really love their Laksa- decent ingredients with quite a rich gravy.

Similar to some other business lounges, the lounge also got private washrooms/shower rooms for guests. I did enjoy a hot shower before flight. And it was such a good way to wash away all the stress, to of course, get me ready for the trip.

The inflight experience was phenomenal too.

The cabin was of a signature Singapore Airline 1-2-1 configuration. A380-800 wasn’t a super new model yet it was still in a perfect condition. Their business class seats were of great privacy and passengers could have everything within reach, thanks to the multiple stowage compartments. I definitely hope to fly long haul with them too- their seat could 'seamlessly recline into a bed' only after a few simple button clicks.

Besides, you could totally feel the airline's character and aesthetic from their cabin design. The seats were of a 'mocha and camel colour scheme', expressing class and sophistication with an oriental touch.

But what surprised me the most was their inflight meal. Inflight meal to me was often something to ‘cure your hunger’ but not like a very value-adding component. Yet, the food here was REALLY good. It was jaw dropping when the meat (chicken from the salad and the stewed beef) came very tender and juicy.

About the inflight entertainment, I also love that they included some local Singaporean movies, on top of a wide selection of Hollywood blockbusters. (Though I picked the classic Harry Potter at last hahahah)

Overall, the Singapore Airline business class flight was one of a kind and it was definitely worth a try!

Whenever I visit Singapore, I love to stay at the city centre- not only is that convenient, but there are also many nice restaurants and cafes around! (Stay tuned for my new posts on Instagram HAHA!)

This time, in courtesy of the Singapore Airline, I was staying with the Pan Pacific Singapore. Located really close to the harbourfront, the Pan Pacific was always like a landmark architecture of the lion city.

With a rather classic, traditional exterior (thanks to its history), the interior of the hotel was surprisingly cool- I LOVE the shapes and lines and angles and geometry and etc of their atrium. That was a really fun mix of tradition and modernism.

They also got one of the best executive lounges in town- from first and foremost, the VIEW, to the great food/wine choices and of course the heartwarming services- I could just stay here all day. The hotel had quite a lot of dining outlets too. I enjoyed a super full buffet dinner at the Edge- and according to my local friend from Singapore, it was the BEST in town. Fair enough, the restaurant did serve a very wide variety of seafood, savories and desserts. Two of my favorites were the salted egg yolk crab legs (which I had 5 pieces) and their laksa! I also visited their Japanese restaurant. The design was classic and perfect for events.

I definitely look forward to visiting again and the below are a few of my captures!
